ABOUT US
The MCMQG was founded in 2010 to serve the greater Nashville area. We are a group of like-minded sewists who enjoy sharing all parts of our craft! While we focus on modern quilting, we enjoy and appreciate all quilters and types of quilting and work to preserve and share this art. The guild is open to persons age 16 or older who are interested in modern quilting.
MEETINGS + EVENTS
Due to evolving Covid-19 guidelines, future meetings may be held virtually and the agendas may have changed. If you have questions about an upcoming meeting, please contact us at musiccitymodernquilters@gmail.com.
We meet on the third Saturday of each month (with the exception of our holiday party in December!) from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. unless noted otherwise. We always start with a little business and then a lot of “show & tell”. So bring your projects – finished or in-progress – for some love, ooh-ing and aah-ing, or help if you’re stuck!

A local legend, Stitcher’s Garden is a must visit at least once in your life! Located in Brentwood about 15 minutes south of Nashville, this shop is cram packed with a huge selection of bolts, and if you’re okay with digging, you can find some OOP gems!

Bernina Sewing Machine Station in Cool Springs is located just northeast of Franklin near plenty of shopping and restaurants. Our local Bernina dealer, SMS is also carries modern fabrics and notions of all kinds – along with a great sale selection*!
